Students in AP Biology have been studying about changes in populations using the principles of the Hardy - Weinberg Equilibrium. Today they had the opportunity to experiment with evolving populations using skittles to test natural selection, genetic drift, and migration.
The students in Biology have been studying the macromolecules that fuel our bodeis. The lab was to experiment on several items to check for the presence of carbohydrates. They used iodine as their test reagent to see if carbohydrates were present in potatoes, cheese, oil, bread, orange juice and apples.
